I donated a car few days ago and got the receipt from the red cross. Can I apply this deduction against my taxes and if I dont have much itemized deductions & between what tax bracket I need to be. Or would there be a case where I cannot itemize anything?

You need a lot of deductions to file a long form. If you have enough right offs to file a long form then yes the donated car will qualify
