Question by inneedofacar: How can I obtain a free car?
I’m recently divorced with a set of 11 year old twins and and a 5yr and my ex-husband took our only vehicle. I just started working for about 2 weeks now and only have about 0 to my name. My children and I are living in a hotel and I only get 0 in child support every month. Is there any information that can lead me to obtaining a donated car or where I can make little to no payments per month? I’m really in need of transportation for my kids and to get back and forth to work.

Goodwill sells cars, or you could ask for help at St.Vincent DePaul. They offer assistance with housing as well, living in a hotel is not going to work, you must get an apt or small home. The welfare office should be able to help you financially, with food stamps, maybe more.

You might get lucky on Freecycle – a community bulletin board where people post offers or wants at no cost. Check out freecycle.org to find the local group for you & good luck
